I rarely take time to post comments here, though I read a lot of what others have to say and those comments generally have a large influence on my software purchasing decision. When I open them in the browser they work well. With all due respect, it would be courteous to at least have refrained from submitting such a demeaning star rating to the others who find Mailplane quite useful, if not to the developer.

Changing the mailto setting in Firefox to Gmail fixed that. Mac apps via sixcolors.

Well I'm glad to see some good competition coming now for them that looks like it mailplabe be eliminating this issue. Alas, while this works for mailto: Stable and easy to use. Yep, you need to configure this in Mail even when Mail is what you don't want to use I've never had an app on any device that I'm more happy with - and that's because this is the unique combination of a fo service with customer service that cares.

Notes let you type messages quickly and maintain a local draft copy inside Inky Application. The app is excellent, does everything that it says it will, and their support team never fails to reply quickly and with helpful solutions.

My hat is off to the folks at Mailplane for improving this so much since I first looked at it when it was in beta Funny enough, the "New" button works well and according to the parameters I've outlined in the preferences.

Both apps work outside the browser, and with all of Gmail recent changes, such as options when 1.8 a message while still in the inbox, most of Mailplanes extra GUI buttons at the top are no longer needed. Its just like a dedicated browser for emails on mac computer.

Sorry for the late reply. Used this since Beta and have had very few issues with it.
